Hi, I’m Lexi!
owner and groomer at The Dog Spa.
My passion for dogs and animal care led me to pursue a career in professional grooming. In 2017 I completed my training through the Wisconsin School of Professional Pet Grooming and have since spent years working with dogs in a variety of settings, including a dog boarding and daycare facility and a veterinary clinic. These experiences have allowed me to work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and grooming needs while developing a patient, compassionate approach to pet care.
In 2024, my family and I moved to Dubuque and quickly fell in love with the community. My husband, Mitchell, coaches football at the University of Dubuque. Together we are raising our twin boys, Cooper and Jordan, who keep us busy and on our toes when I’m not at the grooming table.
The inspiration behind The Dog Spa comes from my own three dogs: Milly, Jameson, and Cricket. As a dog mom, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I wanted to create the kind of grooming salon that I would feel excited and confident bringing my own dogs to—a place where pets are treated with kindness, patience, and genuine love.
